Now entering its 50th year, Children's Hospital Central California (formerly known as Valley Children's Hospital) has become the 12th largest freestanding children's hospital in the nation, and has remained true to their founding mother's promise to treat all children regardless of their ability to pay. That defining hospital promise has a big heart, but uncompensated care expenses totaled more than $14 million last year. How does Children's Hospital Central California overcome this obstacle?
